Jim and Carole Starvish launched White Eagle Farm in East Windsor, CT in 1976 and got to work building a strong business. The farm hosts eight acres of jumbo sized bell peppers, 35 acres of broadleaf tobacco, and 150 acres of grain corn.
Their peppers are superior in both size and taste because they spend the first stage of their life in float beds with their roots dangling in nutrient-enriched pools of oxygenated water. This time spent in the indoor float bed system gives them an extra boost of growth before being transplanted outside to the field. This first generation farm has been delivering to FreshPoint for nine seasons and couldn't be happier―as Carole puts it, "They're good, fair, and honest."
