Located in Miami's Redland agricultural area in South Florida, Lion Farms is a high quality producer of lion's mane mushrooms, avocados, tropical fruits, and vermicompost.
As both a production farm and an organic innovation campus, Lion Farms integrates science-based agricultural practices, applied research, and regenerative design in order to create resilient local food systems. The farm's climate controlled facility enables year-round mushroom cultivation using Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA), ensuring consistent quality and sustainable production, regardless of weather conditions.
Lion Farms operates on a closed-loop system that transforms organic waste into nutrient-dense vermicompost and worm tea, which is used to enrich the surrounding soils. Beyond cultivation, the farm partners with local universities and chefs to advance sustainable agriculture through education, biodiversity, and soil restoration. Guided by the belief that agriculture must regenerate ecosystems and protect natural resources, Lion Farms is cultivating the future of food in South Florida.
The high quality lion's mane mushrooms produced by Lion Farms are used in both medicinal and culinary applications. Not only can the whole fruiting body be used, but lion's mane can be powdered or processed into medicinal tinctures. Lion's mane mushrooms make for a fantastic meat substitute and go well as "steaks," in tacos, as jerky, "Crab cakes" or sandwiches, or simply pan fried. The flavor imitates seafood and the texture is similar to crab meat.
