Joseph & Tawna Chammas opened Gratitude Garden organic farm in South Florida in 2014. They started their business by selling organic vegetables, fruits, and gourmet mushrooms at local farmers' markets.
In 2018 they decided to partner with Claudio Gomez to expand their mushroom production capabilities and thus created GGF Specialty Mushrooms. Claudio came from an extensive background in mushroom farming in Venezuela.
They now are able to work with distributors to provide high quality, gourmet mushrooms throughout South Florida, and love working with the local chefs and restaurants in the area.
In 2008 Joseph Chammas received a life-altering diagnosis of a severe form of cancer. This pivotal moment compelled Joseph & Tawna to undertake a profound transformation in their lifestyle. They embarked on a journey of growing their own nourishing food, and of crafting their own medicinal remedies. This journey marked the genesis of what would eventually become Gratitude Garden Farm. The path was not only about healing, but also about seizing the chance for a fresh start.
It’s for this reason that they named the farm “Gratitude Garden Farm.” It symbolizes their deep gratitude for the second chance in life that they were fortunate enough to receive.
