Billy Augustine is a second-generation farmer. He grew up growing blueberries and wanted to explore other crops when he bought his first farm.

In 2014, Billy began growing tomatoes in high tunnels. The high tunnels allow the plants to produce exceptional quality tomatoes in the off-season when field growers are still waiting for their tomatoes to ripen. Billy currently has 32 high tunnels with round, roma, grape and heirloom tomatoes. In 2018, he began experimenting with beekeeping, and he installed a small bee hive for each high tunnel to assist pollination.

Most recently, Billy had his farm certified as organic. He grows field crops in addition to the hoop houses, and is one of the premier organic growers in NC.
